Circuit Beats makes science and learning fun through simple experimentation that impresses upon children the wonders of electricity. Using the Circuit Beats circuit board, kids turn a series of ordinary household objects into an unusual keyboard that makes music and other sounds. While the results are dramatic, the process is simple: Clip the grounding wire to an index finger, then attach the clips at the ends of the remaining wires from the circuit board to common objects found around the house (a carrot, a flower in water, an apple slice, a friend's arm . . . anything that conducts electricity). Once connected, tapping any of these objects will trigger sounds from the Circuit Beats cat ear speakers. These sounds vary in pitch and quality from one object to the next. A menu of buttons on the circuit board lets children choose among piano, guitar, drums, quirky cat meows, or self-recorded sounds. The results are often amazing, amusing, and edifying, whetting kids' appetites for further exploration of science, technology and the arts. As seen in the Netflix original series.
