My Lanyard Maker is like having a lanyard design and production studio at your fingertips. Its compact, efficient layout makes it easy to carry with you anywhere, and its two drawers (with two compartments apiece) contain all the materials you need to create colorful lanyard keychains, backpack charms, bracelets, and more. The top of My Lanyard Maker is your workstation, and provides two different ways to anchor the stationary part of your plastic lace while working. The centerpiece of your workstation is a raised square, the sides of which provide numbered locations at which to position and reposition parts of the laces, winding and intertwining them as your lanyard progresses. There are three different lanyard-making methods provided - Box Knot, Zipper, and Ridgeback - with step by step instructions for each. That variety of approaches (and resulting lanyard appearance) means kids will use it over and over again while sustaining a high level of interest, adding considerably to the fun. All three approaches involve executing a sequence of steps that are then repeated until the lanyard reaches the desired length. Adding colored beads (included) enhances the playfulness and flair of the finished results.
