This game is a joy to play. The ease and playfulness with which it leads players to take calculated risks adds up to a very good time. The goal is to catch as many fish as possible from a pond board in the middle of the table. Each turn consists of one or more dice rolls by the same player. The player places the number of fish shown on the die after a roll into a blue boat. Any dice showing 'water' or 'net' must be put aside before the next roll. The player must then decide whether to end their turn and keep the fish or continue rolling and risk losing them back to the pond if no fish are rolled. There's plenty of strategic decision-making in Hook'em, as well as counting, simple multiplication, and risk & reward, but the real payoff in this gem of a game is the fabulous time you'll have playing it. For 2 to 6 or more players.
