H2O PUMP is a D.I.Y educational science kit through which children gain an understanding of water flow and basic physics. With it, kids build their knowledge through hands-on activities, experimentation and observation. The fun and learning starts with assembling the set's nearly two dozen components into a whole by interconnecting and snapping the pieces into a plastic base that hovers over a water-filled reservoir. A hollow plastic rocket shape with a foam ball inside is the set's dominant visual feature. Turning on the power switch activates the pump, which gradually moves water from below the base to higher ground where it begins filling the rocket body. As the water rises, the foam ball within the rocket body rises with it, ultimately pushing the rocket head up and off. When the water approaches the top of the rocket, it begins flowing out an attached tube and back down to the box below where it once again becomes part of the reservoir of water being pumped into the rocket.
