The Skylanders franchise has long been an innovator with respect to mingling physical and digital play, and in so doing creating some of the most visceral and loveable action heroes ever. Skylanders Trap Team, however, marks the first time kids can take characters out of the digital Skylanders world into the physical. By placing a crystal trap in the portal, Portal Masters can pull villains out of the game, capturing them in the physical trap. Once trapped, the villain can be sent back into the game to fight on your behalf, on the side of good. With Skylanders Trap Team, there are over 60 new Skylanders and more than 40 trappable villains. In addition to providing an array of physical crystal traps (one for each element), Skylanders Trap Team and the new Traptanium Portal work with all the Skylander characters from Skylanders Spyro's Adventure, Skylanders Giants, and Skylanders SWAP Force. Now that's awesome good news.
