Spellodrome is a great way for students to improve their spelling, writing, and vocabulary skills online. The fun, challenging, self-paced environment offers many games from which to choose. At the outset, players create an onscreen avatar by choosing features and accessories that suit their fancy before jumping headfirst into the play and competition. Live Spellodrome allows students to race against the clock and compete against others from around the world in three different levels of competition - Rookie, Master, or Championship. There are several other great games to play. One favorite, Words in Pieces, has players fit word fragments together like jigsaw pieces to form complete words. My Word List allows players to practice on words that will appear in games. Credits are awarded throughout, while results are tracked for later analysis.
