Disney Story Central is a reading wonderland that provides access to more than 100 books and stories containing beloved Disney characters. It has a look and feel children find utterly captivating, and awards kids with stars and trophies as they read. Books are browsed by scrolling up and down or swiping left or right. You can even browse by Disney character. Books are unlocked using tokens (1 per book) after which they remain on your book shelf indefinitely. And each book can be previewed without spending any tokens. The app itself is free, and 4 tokens are earned just by setting up your account. After that, tokens can be purchased individually or in value bundles. Each book offers Read by Myself or Read to Me mode (in which each word is highlighted as it is read aloud by the app). Adding multiple readers to your account is free and lets each child select his or her own onscreen Disney character avatar as well as have their reading accomplishments tracked separately. When reading is this much fun, kids can't get enough of it. That hunger is one of many gifts Disney Story Central bestows upon young readers.
