Light Stax are construction blocks that glow with light as you stack them, adding a whole new creative dimension to building fun. The light emanating from each block matches the block's color. As a result, decisions made with respect to both color and structure can have an equally dramatic impact on your creations' appearance. In order for the interconnected blocks to light up, at least one must be connected to the Smart Base, a slightly larger block that draws power either from 3 AAA batteries or via the included USB power cable. Light Stax has 4 different light modes: Flashing, Fading, Always On, and 15 Min Auto-Off, each chosen by pressing a button in the base. The fading effect, in which all blocks slowly dim until lights out, then gradually light again until full brightness, is particularly exciting, making it seem as if the construction has come alive. Light Stax can be combined and used with similarly sized traditional non-lit building blocks, opening the door to endless creativity and new ways of thinking while building.
