Like the Dinosaur Train Set (see review above), Farm Train Set is exceptional in both design and function. The high quality is evident at a glance, in the finely crafted wooden pieces, the captivating artwork, and the ease with which the tracks assemble into a bi-level circuit that crosses over itself. The train, which consists of 3 smooth-rolling, magnetically connected cars, is utterly charming in both color and detail. Each car has a unique character well-suited to the farm theme. The two rear cars have built-in pegs that allow other components, such as a wooden hen, to ride securely on their back as the train moves along the tracks. Free-standing human mini-figures, apple trees, bales of hay, and farm animals (all made of wood) are included to populate the area within and around the tracks. The set inspires a high degree of creative story-telling and manual activity, resulting in many wonderful and beneficial playtime experiences.
