Greenhouse Radio combines science and art activities in a single, easy-to-use product. Constructing the functioning radio is great fun, a simple process achieved primarily by snapping or sliding 14 component pieces into place. The next steps consist of connecting several wires between the battery power source, the on/off switch, and the radio. Wire connections are held in place via three spring terminals, a setup that makes it easy for children to visualize and understand the concept of an electrical circuit. The set comes with a paintbrush and six colors of paint with which to decorate the radio, a creative endeavor that brings an added layer of dazzle and excitement to using the finished radio.
